Winter Wedding Trends

Winter is coming (or in Michigan, it’s been here since early November). Despite the cold weather in Bloomfield Hills, we love hosting winter weddings because of the fun seasonal trends. Are you having a winter wedding? Check out some of our favorite winter wedding trends to get inspired.

Accessorize

With colder temperatures, it’s important to stay warm (while still looking gorgeous, of course). This especially rings true if you plan on taking any of your wedding photos outside. We love fun bridal accessories like leather or faux fur jackets.

Velvet

Velvet is a staple winter material with countless ways to incorporate it into your wedding. From velvet tablecloths to velvet-clad bridal parties, it’s an easy cold-weather element to include.

Natural Accents

Natural elements, like wood slabs and pine needles, are perfect for winter weddings. They can be used for centerpieces, table settings and cake decor, as pictured above. Natural elements are also perfect if you’re looking to save money since you can easily DIY whatever you need (especially living in Michigan).

Hot Chocolate Bar

One undeniable benefit of celebrating special occasions during a Michigan winter? Hot drinks! Your guests are sure to love a hot chocolate complete with tons of mix ins. Served with our homemade chocolate chip cookies, you have the perfect late night snack!

All White Everything

You can’t go wrong with a monochromatic color scheme, especially one as elegant and timeless as white. From white table settings to white bouquets and centerpieces to white bridesmaids dresses, the options are limitless. You can even get guests involved with an all-white dress code.
